This is another excellent book by Dr. Pal who is perhaps the foremost expert on Tibetan and Himalayan Buddhist art. Collector's and those interested in Tibetan art and it's history will find this book an invaluable reference. More then most books on thangkas, this book clearly explains and illustrates the evolution of Tibetan art during this period, including role of other influences.
